La construcción de la autopista Barranca Larga-Ventanilla emplea a más mil personas de los coatlanes, lo que ha significado una derrama económica importante en la zona, informó el presidente municipal de San Pablo Coatlán, Abraham Martínez López.

El munícipe detalló que de los 104 kilómetros que comprende esta vía que conectará con la Costa, 33 kilometros se encuentran en Jurisdiccion del municipio y sus agencias, lo que se traduce en un beneficio para los habitantes de estas poblaciones de la Sierra Sur.

Por ello, dijo que buscará consolidar un proyecto ecoturístico para su municipalidad “cuando concluya la carretera el tiempo de trasladado de la ciudad de Oaxaca a esta población será de una hora y media, vamos a aprovechar para que aquellos turistas que se trasladen a Puerto Escondido hagan una parada aquí, para apreciar la riqueza natural”.

Agregó, que en las últimas semanas ha asistido a reuniones a la capital del país en donde se ha reunido con funcionarios del gobierno federal para comenzar con las gestiones de este proyecto.

López Martínez señaló que durante la gira que tuvo el presidente de Mexico, Andrés Manuel López Obrador el pasado 12 de junio a la tierra de los coatlanes le solicitó su apoyo para restaurar un exconvento dominico del siglo XVI y que formaría parte de este proyecto turístico.
