Indicó que el responsable del asesinato, se le dictó como medida de coerción la prisión preventiva a tres meses en el reclusorio de Cosolapa, Oaxaca, para realizar el proceso de investigación y posteriormente continuar con el desahogo del proceso a fin de que se logre dictar sentencia por el asesinato de su compañero.

Manifestó que la sentencia emitida por la juez del Tribunal de Garantías de Huajuapan, en gran medida devuelve a los familiares de la víctima, así como al FNIC, un voto de confianza de la Procuraduría General de Justicia del Estado (PGJE), sin embargo, estarán atentos del proceso para que el presunto asesino no recobre su libertad por influyentismo.

Dijo que las movilizaciones, protestas y manifestaciones realizadas en días pasados por esta organización y los familiares de la víctima, han dado como resultado un primer avance en el proceso que se lleva en contra de Ríos Ortiz.
